Our approach
Worth101 is built to be private by default. Our tools run entirely in your browser, we use no advertising or tracking cookies, and we never sell or share personal data. This page explains exactly what is — and is not — collected when you use the site. It is consistent with our Disclosures page.
1. Calculator inputs stay in your browser
Every calculator (compound interest, FIRE, and others) computes results client-side. The numbers you type — income, balances, ages, spending — are processed in your browser and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
2. Cookies
Worth101's own code sets no cookies. Your browser does not receive a Set-Cookie header from our origin for analytics, advertising, or personalization. Cloudflare, our CDN, may set a strictly-necessary security cookie (for example cf_clearance) only when it issues a bot/security challenge; this is not used to track you across sites.
3. Local storage (functional only)
We use your browser's localStorage solely to remember functional preferences and saved scenarios on your own device (for example, recent calculator inputs). This data never leaves your browser and you can clear it at any time from your browser settings.
4. Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate, privacy-preserving traffic metrics (page views, referrers, country-level region). It is cookieless and does not fingerprint or profile individual visitors. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other third-party analytics product.
5. No third-party trackers
Worth101 ships a strict Content-Security-Policy. We do not load advertising networks, retargeting pixels, social-media trackers, comment widgets, or any third-party script that profiles you. The only external beacon permitted is Cloudflare Web Analytics.
6. Your data, your control
Because we do not collect or store personal data tied to you, there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete on our servers. Functional data in your browser is fully under your control and removable via your browser's clear-site-data tools.
7. Changes to this policy
If we ever change how data is handled — for example, by introducing advertising — we will update this page, revise the effective date, and disclose any new data flows before they go live.
